This is an high contrast version of this color LRGB image. The so called integrated flux nebula seen here is dust surrounding the Milky Way - our own galaxy - illuminated by and reflecting not only the light of one star but the combined light of all the stars in the Milky Way. Thus its name "integrated flux". See more on the website of Steve Mandel who initially came up with this name.
